I think this might exist the right place for this. my window rain guards were pretty croaky up on the truck i'g selling soon. so i figured i would just remove them. i got most of the glue and adhesive strip off. i used a plastic scraper and goo gone. whats the best style to remove the rest of this stuff? its a little thicker on the driver's side due to the original owner's poor placement of the rain baby-sit...
You could try some isopropyl alcohol (IPA). When I use it for sap/adhesives on my truck, I pre-soak a small patch of a rag with IPA and have a second towel soaked in water.
Wipe/soak a few seconds with the alcohol soaked rag, then immediately wipe it off with the wet towel. Repeat. It may take some time- I just don't like to permit the IPA dwell on the paint. It shouldn't practice damage unless it dwells (i.eastward. Don't permit it get underneath any safe trim where it tin sit on the pigment for an extended period).
3M Adhesive Remover and elbow grease. Once y'all become information technology off you will proably have some ghosting. You'll then to vitrify that out with a polisher to become it all off. Hope that helps.

Best easiest qnd cheapest matter i have found, i used to do alot of decals, is using hot water and joy dishwashing liquid. Become a squirt bottle and fill up it about iii/4 the way upwards with hot tap water, so put virtually a teaspoon of joy dishwaasing liquid in ut. Just plain lemon liquid, null fruity or fancy, and so stir it upwards a fiddling scrap. Ssquirt it on smaller sections at a time, permit it fix a minute, saturate information technology pretty good, then wipe information technology away, take a fiddling lbow grease simply does a good chore. Then when your washed, just wipe information technology clean with a dry material, and possibly throw a little wax on there, and it will look good as new. Joy will do wonders washing a vehicle, but you can't use it alot, because it can and will damage the clearcoat on the vehicle. Always throw a actually good glaze of wax on information technology when you get done likewise. Works wonders on tar and actually difficult bugs equally well. I usually wash my vehicles at least once every two years in it. Just helps get any gritty stuck on residue off. Hopefully this helps you out!!
