If you prefer to use vinegar to clean the water dispenser, add 1 liter of vinegar to the bucket and fill 3 liters of warm water. Then stir well.
How to clean a Top-loading water dispenser?
- The first thing you need to do is unplug the power outlet. Disconnecting power before cleaning electrical devices is extremely necessary. It also helps you move more easily.
- Secondly, check mold and dirt at the top of the rack that connects to the water bottle. Wipe them with a paper towel. For hard dirt, make a mixture of water and baking soda as a mild abrasive to remove dirt with a scrub brush.
- Thirdly, remove the water protection. If your water bottle has protection that punctures the water bottle when you install it, remove it. Rinse under running water and then wipe with a disinfectant solution.
- 4th, clean drip protection. If possible, remove the drip guard and any trays that hold your water cup below the adapter. Rinse them under the tap and then carefully wipe with your cleaning solution.
Again, if you realize mold or stubborn stains, rub more strongly with baking soda powder. Rinse and dry.
- 5th, cleaning the reservoir. Pour the remaining cleaning solution into the tank through the head of the water dispenser. Leave it for three to five minutes. You can replace the spigots to make sure both lines are clean.
- 6th, rinse the reservoir. Pour 2 liters of clean water into the tank and rinse it. When it's empty, fill a liter of water. If you detect the taste of vinegar or the smell of bleach, add two liters of clean water to ensure safety, drain and check again.
Finally, replace parts and plug-in power. When you are satisfied, replace any parts you have removed and add a new bottle of water. Plug in the device and allow it to cool the water for 30 minutes to an hour before use.
